Mono/Colour

For black and white printed inner pages, with the addition of colour pages, please see the Optional Extras section. For full colour books, please choose the option Full Colour Inners and leave additional colour pages in the Optional Extras section blank.

Book Finish

Perfect bound = Paperback, 250gsm card cover printed colour one side.

Case bound with PPC = Hardback with colour Printed Paper Case (PPC).

Case bound (Black Wibalin) with foil blocking = silver/gold foil to front or spine, max area 220mm x 170mm. No jacket.

Case bound (Black Wibalin) with foil blocking to front or spine, max area 220mm x 170mm, plus full colour jacket (printed one side only).

Loose leaf = no finishing, supplied as collated sheets.

Please note: All Case Bound Option are Black Wibalin by default, other colours may be subject to additional charges. Please contact us directly for more information.

Saddle stitched booklet with Colour Cover = folded and stapled with 160gsm cover printed in full colour to one side only.

Wiro-o booklets include black or white wires and covers printed in full colour one side only.

Page Count

Page count refers to the number of sides (both printed and unprinted). It is double the quantity of sheets. All quotes are priced for double sided printing, if you require single sided printing, please contact us directly.

Additional Information

Eco Book

While our business has a strong environmental policy in place when you choose Standard, you can also choose to offset the estimated carbon released directly in the production of your book. Selecting Carbon Offsetting results in sole use of FSC approved paper, calculates the tonnage of CO2 produced and includes the costs involved in additional carbon offsetting above and beyond our environmental policy.

Full Colour Cover With Lamination

Please choose either Gloss, Matt or No lamination required (affects cover only).

N.B. Having NO laminate is not advised as this will leave your book(s) more prone to cracking and wearing.

Proofing

A standard loose-leaf proof is mandatory and is included in the price of your quote. For a perfect bound, production equivalent proof, please choose this option at additional cost.

Additional Colour Pages

We offer the facility to include full colour pages within your text. If you have a page printed in colour on one side and in black and white on the other, the nature of the printing process means that we have to charge for 2 pages. Please consider this when creating your quote.

Please note that if the additional colour pages exceed 20&perc; your job will be quoted, charged and treated as a Full Colour book.

Ordering Information

Run Type

If this is the first time you have printed your book with us, select New Order. If the book is being reprinted from the same files as previous, we offer a discounted price, as the digital files we have stored do not require setting up again.

If you are supplying new cover or text files, please choose New Order.

Manuscript Format

If you have created your manuscript in InDesign, Quark or another software package, please note additional charges may apply.

Word to PDF conversion includes no formatting, typesetting or setup - additional charges may apply. If your Word file is correctly setup (size, margins etc) then the charge of £25 will be added to your quote.

Scanning internal pages with/without images are quoted seperately. Scanning and recreation of a cover can be completed by our pre-press team; results depend on original source material.

Optional Services

Standard Cover - £35

A budget solution using one of our standard designs or just a plain colour, personalised with your book title and name added to the front and your summary added to the back. Includes generation of a barcode from your ISBN if applicable. Examples can be found by visiting http://www.fast-print.net

Bespoke Cover Design - £99

A bespoke design which would be unique for your book, using your own picture(s) or anything from our library of well over a million images that we can use or incorporate into the design. Includes generation of a barcode from your ISBN if applicable. Examples can be found by visiting http://www.fast-print.net

Generation of ISBN Barcode - £25 from your own ISBN

Conversion of your ISBN number into a barcode and addition to your design for £25. You should leave a space of 52mm x 34mm towards the bottom left corner of the back cover for it

Despatch of Legal Copies - £7.50

This option adds 6 copies to your production quantity above. It is a legal requirement to send a copy of every new book to the British Library and advisable to send copies to five other deposit libraries. We hold back and despatch these copies to the legal deposit libraries

Budget Promotional Pack - £99

Budget Promotional pack comprising: x150 A5 flyers, x50 A6 postcards and x10 A3 posters. We design and print this marketing literature for you based on our standard templates.

Please note quote does not include these costs as payment for promotional packs must be handed seperately. By selecting this option, you are registering an interest in this service and your enquiry will be handled seperately by Customer Services.

Standard Promotional Pack - £175

Standard Promotional pack comprising: x300 A5 flyers, x100 A6 postcards and x20 A3 posters. We design and print this marketing literature for you based on our standard templates.
